Basic cookies vs. standard cookies
Upon your first visit to the ACIM Web Edition, you can choose to allow all cookies or only basic cookies. What's the difference?
Basic cookies are just data stored on your device that is required for the application to work correctly, such as the "cookie" that remembers that you have logged in. Without that cookie, you'd have to log in each time you opened your browser again or opened a new tab and went to the Web Edition again. Basic cookies do not track any other user information or analytics.
Standard cookies include analytics, including data that helps us to understand how the system is being used and how to make it work better. For example, we track which terms are being searched, but we do not collect personal information, so we don't know who is doing those searches.
